Announcing… FRIDAY’S BAND:
We’re very pleased to welcome back the SCHMOOZENBERGS for 2017!
Easily last year’s crowd favourites, they’ll be kicking off the Fiesta with style on Friday: they get their music from gypsy campfires and Paris cafés where the name Django has everything to do with swinging beats and fancy finger work. Irresistible rhythms, lyrical melodies and playful improvisations come together to create a heart-warming, hip-swinging sound.

This is SATURDAY’S BAND:
Ladies and Gentlemen, may we introduce: THE GIN BOWLERS!
One of the most exciting, turbo-charged swing bands in the South West, The Gin Bowlers will be bringing the party to you on Saturday night!
Hammering drums, lively double bass, searing guitar licks and motifs form the basis of the band’s sound, with blistering solos from some of the region’s best swing horn players. The vocal contrast of Joe Trudgeon’s husky, Waits’ style delivery and Rachel Lawrence’s smooth and slick vocal sounds make for an ever-changing and dynamic performance; while both vocalists possess a powerful stage presence for the duration of their fantastic sets.

And finally, drum roll for SUNDAY’S BAND, please!
The wonderful BARTOUNE will be taking to the stage during the tea dance on Sunday. 12 years of experience and showmanship leaves this professional trio well versed at taking the audience on a journey. The hot-club style outfit travels through desert caravans, mediterranean vibes and 40s swing-dance halls, depending on where the crowd, and the band, want to go!
Their fresh sound and variety of instruments and rhythms keeps any audience interested. Gypsy Jazz, classic songs, mellow clarinet tones, and driving Bari sax, all underpinned by the tight swing of vibrant guitar and Bass.
